It is difficult for those without experience with diabetes to understand the disease. Remember that these folks ar well-intentioned and they care about you. You may want to start by giving them some literature about diabetes to read so that they can better understand what you are dealing with. It is always better to have someone who cares, even if they sometimes nag!(Parents do this a lot.)
