This level is quite high and indicates that kidney problems may be present. I would definitely suggest a visit to a kdiney specialist (Nephrologist) for further evaluation. Keeping your diabetes in control can help prevent and possibly even reverse some of the damage. When the kidneys don't function properly, certian diets low in protein may prevent strain on the kidneys. Your doctor and dietician can help you find ways to improve your kidney health. It is better to know there is a problem and treat it as early as possible to help prevent further damage.
