"I have neuropathy in my index finger. Is there anything I can do or take to ease the pain? The slightest touch almost drops me to my knees."

Some days are worse than other days. Some days my fingertip has a pulsing throb. Would a trip to a Neuroligist be an option?

Neuropathy can be a very painful and debilitating problem. Fortunately, there are several treatment options. There are a wide range of prescription medications that can potentially help, such as possibly gabapentin. Other therapies such as acupuncture and topical products such as Zostrix(R) or Neuragen(R) can potentally give you some relief. Check with your health care team to see what is best for you. Certainly a neurologist and/or a pain specialist may also be helpful.
