Hi lisa81. I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well and that you aren't getting the answers you need. My first concern is that you take a lot of insulin. Based on your insulin types and dosages I am assuming that you are very insulin resistant. This means that you have a lot of circulating insulin in the blood stream but the cells are not allowing the insulin to enter. Actos should help with this as should exercise. Is it possible that when you experience chest pain that your blood glucose may be too low or too high? All that insulin you are taking can cause weight gain especially if you are having to treat low blood glucose on a regular basis. I am concerned based on the information you have provided that your cardiac health may be poor. I am going to advise you to see a certified diabetes educator to help you evaluate overall blood glucose control and the appropriateness of your diet, an endocrinologist for possible medication re-evaluation; and a cardiologist for a complete cardiovascular assessment. Please do not hesitate to take action. I wish you luck.
