At 6am in the morning i JUST take humilin which is the long lasting one for the whole day. My normal routine should be to take humalog (fast acting) and humilin together, but as i said, since i work out, i use that as my "humalog".
ohh & i take 20 units of humilin.

Dear Linni:
It is difficult to answer your question without knowing what your blood sugar levels are. However, let's suppose your blood sugars are under 100 after your workout, you may not need to take your humalog in the morning. Exercise has the ability to lower your blood sugar naturally, and that is not a bad thing. However, because you are a Type 1, your body still needs the basal insulin which in this case would be the long acting one. Keep on exercising, but make sure you are checking your blood sugars before and after.
