"President Obama's drive for health care reform"
Asked By: bhandel58

Background Info Hide
I am a strong supporter of what President Obama is trying to do with regards to health care reform. In the state of California I cannot get health care coverage unless I am part of a group plan. I believe that people with pre-existing conditions such as myself need access to affordable quality health care so that I can effectively manage my type 2 diabetes. I do not see the benefit for people with health issues to be abandoned and left alone by the health insurance industries. With regards to Type 2 Diabetes I can live a productive life contributing to America if I can manage my Type 2 Diabetes. Currently the health care system in America works against me and I suspect people in similar situations. Where is the benefit for all of America in that?

Your frustration is understandable. Although our health care system is higher quality than many countries, it is certainly flawed. The President has a daunting task of trying to "fix" this. I believe that with the help of the senate and congress, they will make things better. This will, of course take time to implement; but we are on a good path.
