Very low blood sugar can cause fainting and nausea, but at times very high blood sugars can cause these symptoms as well, It would be important to check her blood sugar during these "spells" to see what is going on. Dehydration could also be a factor here, since low body weight and diabetes would make her more prone to dehydration. Make sure she drinks a lot of clear liquids when she plays sports.
