Dear dirtynascar, You asked about the safety of you taking glucosamine hydrochloride. I wouldn't expect any harmful side effects from taking it daily. Be sure you check with a pharmacist to determine the amount to take daily. My physician said the evidence that glucosame hydrochloride is effective to repair joints is not strong. However, some people seem to get help from it. As it is not harmful, I'd say, go ahead and give it a try.

I took some Glucosamine earlier this year. It raised my blood sugar right away. I'm not sure it is worth the risk. Just my opinion.
