Trilipix is a fenofribic acid used to help lower triglycerides, raise HDL cholesterol, and lower LDL cholesterol. It can be used alone or along with a statin to help prevent stroke or heart attack. It should not be used in people who have liver disease, severe kidney disease, gallbladder disease, nursing mothers, or those with an allergy to any ingredient. Patients taking Trilipix should have their liver enzymes tested routinely and should contact their doctor immediately if any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, weakness, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting occurs. So, now to address your question. I was unable to find any warnings against using this product in people who have diabetes. We do know that people with diabetes can be at higher risk for stroke and heart attack. Therefore, it may be beneficial to use cholesterol and triglyceride lowering medications to help reduce that risk. Please remember that good blood glucose control is also helpful in reducing your risk. I hope this information is helpful. Please continue to consult dLife for current information about diabetes.

I had been on Trilipix for 3 months the last month I started losing a lot of hair. I have been off it for 2 months now and still lose a lot of hair. I had very thick hair prior to this drug. This is not listed as a side effect and I am really really mad. It dropped all of my cholestrol readings a lot. So it does do that but I would not go on this drug again I may never get my hair back at the rate I am losing it right now.
