Background Info Hide
She was diagnosed 6 monthes ago. Grandparents concerned as well although no concerns from school. Recently episodes do not seem to be related to blood glucose levels. These episodes are very uncharacteristic of my daughter and I need help helping her cope.

A diagnosis of diabetes can be stressful at any age, but girls, in particular go through rough patches at school with peer pressure, etc. Your daughter should get involved with support groups in JDRF or ADA. Meeting other children with diabetes is extremely helpful at this age. Also, you may want to consider diabetes camp. There are several all across the country, and they really help children with diabetes adjust to the changes in their lives that the diabetes has caused them to make.

If your daughters bs goes up and down and all around it will make a huge difference on her mood. Having steady bs also helps the body and mind. I dont know what her readings are but if you could take a reading when she is like that you might be able to figure it out either highs or lows can bring on moods.
