Dear cece108, Congratulations on lowering your blood sugar, mostly through diet and counting carbohdyrates. I also see you take a low dose of glycuride and metformin. These are common medications ordered in the early stages of Type 2 diabetes. It is possible that your diet was quite high in all types of carbohdyrates when you were diagnosed. Perhaps you have lost weight, too, which helps the blood sugars. I often meet people who are drinking so much regular soda when they are diagnosed that by deleting that 1 food from their diet, their blood sugars go back to a normal level. So, be happy and keep up the good work!

Count yourself as being very blessed in your control. No matter what I do or what I cut out I have to be on orals and insulin. I know diabetes inside out, read about it each day and study it often. My body along with my 100 lbs mothers body just wont respond to diet and exercise only. It runs deep in our family. Dont think it cant change because it can so stay deligent on what your doing.

Yes it can be that easy for some. Your body can't tolerate sugar. Adding fresh veggies will help too.
