This is a difficult struggle you are waging, but know that you don't have to go it alone. There are several non-profit groups that help the uninsured such as the Charles Ray III Diabetes Association, inc. www.charlesray.g12.com or NEEDYMEDS www.needymeds.org and several others. Also your local ADA Chapter can help you out as well. Your foot pain and swelling needs to be addressed and could be due to poor diabetes control and/or circulatory issues. Don't give up, be persistant, ask a lot of questions. Keep writing in, we are all here to help.

I had cracked dry painful feet for years. No lotion seemed to work until I discovered Tea Tree Ointment from Puritanspride.com. This stuff really works on the cracks and dryness and I think the tea tree oil helps with the pain. (It is an ingredient in the diabetic pain treatment Neuragen) . Tea Tree products are not terribly expensive if you shop prudently, i.e. stay away from Whole Foods. LOL
