"I have recently had laser treatments in both eyes and also had an injection of Avastin in both eyes. I there anything I can do to help my vision?"

Hello Jills37; Hope all is well and your pump is working well for you. Absolutely, there is ONE really big thing, but, takes coordination of several little things. Yes, If the level of your retinopathy is minor, it can improve with good control of your diabetes. Getting back to the basics: * A is for A1C, previously known as hemoglobin A1C—a test that reflects average blood glucose over the last 3 months. The goal for most people with diabetes is <7. An A1C of 7 corresponds to an average blood glucose level of 150 mg/dL. This is the objective data-good place to start. *B is for blood pressure. The goal for most people with diabetes is <130/80 mm Hg. Checking blood pressure, height, weights, *C is for cholesterol. The goal for people with diabetes is an LDL level of <100 mg/dL, an HDL level of >40 mg/dl in men and >50 in women, and triglycerides level of <150 Most likely you are aware, but, just a reminder. Continue with eye exams, UV protection, PCP/Endocrinologist exams, check your feet daily and I hope all continues to go WELL. Call on dLife for any additional questions or concerns.
