"I had my 3 hour Glucose test last week and my OBGYN said i don't have GD."

Only one reading of the four readings was little high and my OBGYN said i don't have GD. Do i still need to monitor my sugar levels? Please let me know. This is my second pregnancy and i had GD in my first pregnancy. I was suprised to hear that i don't have GD.....:-) Please advice me.....Thanks!

Thanks for writing dLife. Your question is a very good one because with a prior history of gestational diabetes, chances for this to occur in a following pregnancy are higher. As pregnancy progresses, blood sugar levels tend to rise, so the best answer is to express your concerns to your doctor and request an additional test for gestational diabetes. Consider testing your blood sugar levels fasting and 1-2 hours after meals -share this data with your physician for evaluation.

If you want to make sure I would test every other day. If your readings are over 140 I would for sure get back to the doctor.
