"Do you know about Dr. Weils study of the effects of diabetes medicine has on the heart? Other risk for diabetes or no more than if you don't take med"
Asked By: testme

Background Info Hide
I understand Dr. Weils did a 40 year study on the effects of Diabetes medicine and how dangerous it is to the heart and how so many doctors knows about this study and refuses to acknowledge it as if it was never done. It also states that there is no inprovement of our health risk for long term rather we take medicines or not. We have several risk I understand that but a 40 year study says alot please see if you can find some more information. I think I gave you enough information to get started. I do not have the full report but I have ordered it. The way I understood it is that the meds will will will cause heart problems and the risk for a heart attack increases like 200 % more likely to have one.

Please send us more information on the exact study by Dr. Wells that you are citing. An internet search that I did turned up several references. These are questions you need to consider when evaluating the results of a study.

  • What year was the study done?
  • What type of study was done?
  • Who funded the study?
  • How large was the study?
  • Has the study been replicated by someone else and are the results different or similar?

Again, please send us some more details including Dr. Wells" first name, institution, year of the study, etc. With this information, we will be able to give you a better answer.
