"My eyelid has been twitching off and on for 4 hours. This is new should I be concerned?"
Asked By: lorrym
Category: Vision

Background Info Hide
I am newly diagnosed Type 1, 6 mos. Still do not have good control but diligently testing and using insulin along with watching my diet. I am on BP meds and have great control over that, 112/70. I had my vision checked (dialated) and my eyes were fine.

Dear lorrym, Having an eyelid that twitches is most likely not connected to you having Type 1 diabetes. It is most often caused by eye strain. Try to get a little more rest and don't work so hard at a computer for a few days. If it doesn't get better, ask your eye doctor if there are some eye drops you can try to help calm the eyelid.
