"Insulin Pump"

I want to up grade my pump but I can't afford to. some body wants to give me one that is better than mine. if I get it should I send it to the company to have it checked?

That is generous of someone to want to give you a new insulin pump. They all work a bit differently,and you should never attach a pump that you have not been trained on by a company trainer. Your doctor/endocrinologist can help you with this. Perhaps you can even get the process started ny calling the "new" pump company and having a representative call you to arrange training and/or help with supplies. A new order will most likely be needed from your doctor to the company. I am not sure how they transfer ownership, but it will have to happen through the company for the safety of all concerned in case of a pump malfunction,etc.. Pump compaines are usually more than willing to help patients with finacial issues.
