In reading the information you provided about your diabetes, it appears you have many health problems. I dont know if you are seeing an endocrinologist and a certified diabetes educator but if you are not I would recommend you request a referral to both from your primary care provider. It is very important to keep blood glucose levels in good control in order to prevent complications. If your fasting blood glucose levels are in the 300-400 range every day, you will not feel well and may affect your other health problems. Managing diabetes takes effort but that effort will pay off in your quality of life. I think you would also benefit from meeting with a dietitian to help you understand how foods may affect your diabetes as well as some of your other health issues. Education and understanding how your medications, food intake and physical activity affect your blood sugar may improve your control. I encourage you to keep working toward improved control.
