"I'm 64 and have had type 2 diabetes for 23 years. Lately I've realized when trying to have intercourse i cannot stay erect. I don't like viagra."

i have tried a sample of viagra and i don't like the after affects it has on me. is there any natural product that can be of help to me as stated earlier when having foreplay am always ready till its time time to insert it its almost like I'm 2 different people. This is really weighing very heavy on my mind. Thanks for your time.

Dear forester,

This is not an uncommon experience. I would encourage you to have a conversation with your health care provider about your options. Also you may want to ask if any of your medications may have a side effect. There are other medications that you may want to try – Cialis and Levitra. Cialis may be taken as needed or once a day. Levitra can be taken 1 hour before intercourse. You should not drink grapefruit juice when taking these medications as it may interfere with their effectiveness. There are also some devices that may be used to help sustain an erection. I am not aware of any effective natural products. If your health care provider does not know the options available to you, request a referral to an urologist who can demonstrate various devices.
