Yes, Splenda (Sucralose) is one of the five approved nonnutritive sweeteners (these have a taste but do not provide energy) approved by the Federal Drug Association. Non nutritive sweeteners approved by the FDA are considered safe for use during pregnancy when they are used within the acceptable Daily Intakes. As a general guideline, three to four servings or portions per day are conservative limits for use. Moderation is always good advice. A greater variety of non-nutritive sweeteners would reduce the chances of any one agent being ingested in amounts that might be significant.
