"My left hand and my left ankle are so swollen i can't close my hand and can't get my shoe on. Was told i have diabetic neuropathy. "

type 1 diabetic for 41 years. Diagnosed at age of 5. Blood sugars under good control for last 15 years. A1c has been 7 or less for 15 years. blood presure is good have been on meds for that 20 years. Everything i read for diabetic neuropathy doesn't say anything about swelling. Any suggestions and who should i see.
