Most any condition that puts stress on the body affects blood sugars. In simple terms, it can be explained by the epinephrine and other stress hormones that get released during an injury or stress to the body. You should begin to see your blood sugars stabilize once your heart rhythm starts to go back to normal.

I have had A-Fib since 2008. It really had not had any issues with my sugar counts over all. Yes, if I am not feeling good, counts go up but in the long run it has no affect. I got A-fib after a spider bite, from the sulfa drugs. I am doing great with all my meds and have a A1C of 6.0 or less each test time.
