Hello,

Thanks for asking dLife.

Cataract is the clouding of the lens of the eye. It results in fuzzy vision and increased sensitivity to light. People with diabetes are twice as likely to develop cataracts than the general population.

Cataract is not reversible. Fortunately, there are effective treatment for cataract and other eye diseases. Laser surgery is very safe and effective.

Positive health changes one can make include smoking cessation, controlling blood pressure, maintaining healthy blood cholesterol levels, and staying in control of blood glucose (sugar) levels by keeping A1C at target range. These changes help lower the risk for developing eye disease.
