"Total exhaustion, weak, blurred vision and foggy feeling at least once per day, what is this? A1C 6, fasting sugar 124. Taking no meds."
Asked By: beckyray
Category: Prediabetes

Background Info Hide
Went to the doctor in June. Total exhaustion, dry mouth, dry eyes, constant urination. Fasting blood sugar 124, A1C 6. Was told I was prediabetic. Prescribed Metforman but opted to dry diet and exercise first. Has been over six weeks and I am much better. However, I am "crashing" at least once a day. Feeling weak, exhausted, blurred vision and foggy feeling in my head. Lasts for about 1 to 1/2 hour and then goes away. What is this?

Hello,

Thanks for asking dLife.

Glad that you are on a diet and exercise program. You did not mention when the crashing occurs in relation to your meals, physical activities and time of day. Also, when did the symptoms start? What were your blood glucose (sugar) levels when you crash? What did you do during this time? What cause the symptoms go away?

I recommend that you talk with your doctor about your symptoms. He or she can determine their cause and how best to treat or prevent them.
