Puberty will generally cause changes in diabetes control due to the many hormone spikes that occur during this time. This can be handled with adjustments in insulin as you see blood sugar patterns change, either going way up or sometimes going down. Hormones affect everyone differently;both of my boys had insulin adjustments during puberty. It is harder to deal with mood swings than insulin adjustments at times!! Good luck to you, and thanks for writing in.
