"My husband has type 2 diabetes. This winter he has been experiencing dry skin around his eyes. Is this caused by the diabetes?"

Yes di abetes does cause dry eyes and I mean very dry eyes says my doctor. Try using grnteal gell eye drops. Do not expose yourself to too much heat in the house or fans or air condition during summer month turn fan up in the s\air or towards the wall to bounce back to you. Dry eyes will ease also if you do not sleep under drafty windows. Good luck

I would be interested to hear an answer to this also. I was just diagnosed with type 2 and have had the same problem with dry skin around the eyes. Shortly after starting the oral meds it seems to have gotten much better.

WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO GET ON TEST STUDYS? I HAVE BEEN ON INSULIN FOR OVER 30 YRS, AND STILL HAVE EVERY THING.
I am type 1,been for almost 30 years, this morn at 7:00 am bs was 80 ate breakfast, (same carbs each morn) 10 minutes later bs was 28.
