"I have gestational diabetes. I was told that I can not have regular soda. What is considered regular soda?"

Regular soda is any soda that has all the calories and sugar of the original version. In other words, anything that doesn't say "sugar free" or "diet" or "reduced calorie" or "light," etc. Regular soda has more sugar, generally, and therefore more carbohydrates, which raise blood sugar.
