Regular soda is considered soda with sugar in it. Sugar free soft drinks are considered safe during pregnancy, as long as the amount is moderate (preferably no more than 1-2 soft drinks per day). While sugar--free soda won't bother your blood sugar, soda itself is hard on your bones and the caffeine that is often included can be another issue as well. Try to drink at least the recommended 8-10 glasses of water daily, 2-3 servings of milk, and then add in the sugar free soda, Crystal Light, or other non-caloric beverages in moderation. Good luck, and happy gestation!

Regular soda is anything with sugar. You should be fine with the sugar free stuff. Check the nutrition box and make sure it has 0 carbohydrates. Fresca is a great soda.
