"Although my A1C is 5.6, I continue to suffer low vision. I am seen regularly by a retinologist. Is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks."

66 year old, caucasian female, type 2 diabetes. I use Byetta, 5ml BID and Glucophage, 500 mg, BID.

10/22/08 10:12 PM Dear hesbyherb, There is no better advice I can give you than the advice of your retinologist. Have you talked with him regarding your continued low vision? He may have suggestions regarding changing lighting, the glasses you wear, eye drops, etc. Don't fool around with home remedies when it comes to your eyes. Get professional advice. Answered By: You!

Dear hesbyherb, There is no better advice I can give you than the advice of your retinologist. Have you talked with him regarding your continued low vision? He may have suggestions regarding changing lighting, the glasses you wear, eye drops, etc. Don't fool around with home remedies when it comes to your eyes. Get professional advice.
