Donna Yuscavage
RN, BSN, CDE

Donna has been a Registered Nurse for 38 years and a Certified Diabetes Educator for 16 years. She established the first diabetes specialty in home heath and the first ADA-accredited pharmacy-based diabetes education program in Northeast Pennsylvania. She was instrumental in developing a weekend getaway program for children with diabetes and their families held yearly in the Pocono Mountains.

Donna has been an Honoree of the Year of the American Diabetes Association and of her local chapter of Diabetes Educators with which she has held numerous offices. The pharmacy-based program which she directs recently received the Elon Pharmacy Award for Innovative Pharmacy Practice from the PA Pharmacist's Association.

She coordinates the Diabetes Self Management Program at Triangle Pharmacy (a family-owned business) and the Mountaintop Diabetes Support Group. Donna also consults and educates nursing home personnel, school teachers, and the community at large. Diabetes services at the Triangle are free to all regular customers, includes 1:1 counseling and group classes, and are provided for life.
