The Question

Janet HowardDucsay
RN BSN CDE

I have been in Critical Care and Emergency Room nursing from 1977 through 2005. At that time I was given the opportunity to create a Diabetic Education program in our local community hospital. Since that time I have established a Diabetic Self Management Education program for inpatients. I provide education to our staff nurses, do one on one inpatient and outpatient teaching and give volunteer talks in the community about diabetes. I received my CDE in May of 2008 and continue to actively expand my interest and knowledge about diabetes.
