The Question

kirk spero

Kirk Spero is a pharmacist who works as an educator for LPIHO, where he collaborates with diabetic patients to help them set and meet goals in areas such as blood sugar monitoring, exercise, and nutrition. He also works with their physicians to optimize medication therapy. In addition, Kirk is involved in developing new educational programs for both patients and the network of pharmacists in LPIHO.

Kirk continues to work part time at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster PA as a staff pharmacist. During his tenure at Lancaster General, Kirk participated in multi-disciplinary rounds in both the intensive care and cardiac care settings. Additionally, he was a member of the insulin committee which developed protocols for insulin dosage as well as for the prevention and treatment of hypoglycemia.
