I am a registered nurse since 1995 with a varied career. I have experience in psychiatric, correctional, chronic care and infectious disease nursing. My latest endeavor is outreaching to Diabetic clients in the Medicaid population. I teach self-management of Diabetes and co-morbidities. I have always had a calling to provide care to the underserved and high risk populations.

    I take 15 units of Lantus at bedtime. BG was 70 when I fixed my shot. I ate yogurt and a couple bite size Snickers. Sixty minutes later BG was 23!

    Gastric by-pass patient from 1986. I have deficiencies with B12 & Iron. With anemia I run 9 A1C -- but daily BG if normal. Will A1c work?
