When my diabetes was detected for the first time 10 weeks back, my fasting sugar was 163 and PP was 203.
Now, testing after two months of non-traditional medication and diet regime, my fasting sugar is 125 whereas PP is nearly borderline i.e. 143.
Sounds interesting ! What is your 'non-traditional medicine & diet regime' ?
What is the precise medical reason why the fasting sugar is so high whereas the PP sugar has come down to nearly within the range?
These are medicines from the ayurvedic system. As for diet, apart from the usual prescription of reducing sugar, carbohydrates etc. include 10-15 fenugreek seeds in the diet. take juice of tomato+cucumber+bitter gourd. certain yoga practices.

I was not familiar with the herb, you mentioned, so I researched it & read it's claims. If it works for you, that is good. Your concern is your morning fasting number, you need to research 'dawn phenomenon' as that could be what is occuring to you. Some of us have the same problem & have resolved it by eating some protein prior to bedtime. A couple of spoonfuls of peanut butter or other protein. You can try that out and see if that is successful for you.
