Hi Sue, I'm not familiar with this group. I moved the post to this section because this where this type of messages belongs. I will ask the dLife team to check them out and see if this message is legit. Janis

It is a market research firm serving many industries. Perhaps they have a client developing a product for diabetics, who knows. But it is definitely not a purely research firm in the sense of helping diabetics.

Hello all, Here's my post from the last time this person surfaced. It is a market research firm based in Europe, apparently. We cannot vouch for the company, but have no reason to suspect any wrongdoing, either.
Thanks Lynn. I agree, that there is no wrongdoing on the part of this company. It is a market research firm. And they are willing to pay you for your opinion. There is nothing wrong with that.
I just feel that people on this site need to know that this is not medical research. If you go to their website there is a link to sign up to be on one of their panels. As a member of one of their panels the site states:
"As a member of our panel you will be invited from time to time to participate in surveys on various topics, ranging from Consumer Goods to Medical, IT and other technological products.
Share your thoughts, experiences and views and help the companies to improve future products and services. Your time and views will be compensated with incentives ranging from £20 - £1000, depending on the topic involved."
I repeat, I don't think there is anything wrong with this. I just want to make sure that people know what kind of research this company provides. Also note for any Americans, that this company is based in Europe. And there's nothing wrong with that either.
Cheers.

Hello All, I just wanted to post my emails from Sue Morrison. This is a market research company similar to Synovate and others based in the US. I belong to a couple of them and they are harmless. I actually do get paid! --------------- From: Sue Lane Sent: Mon 10/5/2009 1:37 AM To: Sue Morrison Subject: Diabetes Research
Hello Sue, I'm inquiring about your post at dLife.com. You didn't offer much information. Is the study open to the United States? Your company appears to be European based. In what way is our information used? You are a market research firm, are we only going to get spammed with offers? The dLife community is closely knit, we watch out for each other. The members get many offers, some not so legitimate. Any further information you can provide would be helpful. Thanks, Sue Lane ------------- From: Sue Morrison To: Sue Lane Sent: Monday, October 5, 2009 3:13:14 AM Subject: RE: Diabetes Research
Hello Sue
Thanks for your email. I would like to assure you that you will not be receiving spam emails from us. We are a European Market Research Company based in London, & we will be conducting a study among diabetes patients in the near future. I am trying to compile a panel of respondents who we can call upon to help us. All the details givne to us will remain entirely confidential as we are bound by the Esomar Code of Conduct
Any details (preferably from the UK) would be gratefully received
Many thanks
Regards Sue Morrison ---------------- From: Sue Lane Sent: Mon 10/5/2009 5:02 PM To: Sue Morrison Subject: Re: Diabetes Research
Thank you Sue,
"preferably from the UK" Do you accept panelists from outside the UK? I participate in two other web based market research panels. Payments consist of accumulated point to be used for cash and merchandise rewards or sweepstakes entries. How does your company make payments?
I appreciate the extra time you are taking to answer my questions, Sue ---------------- Hi Sue
I will be able to take deails from outside the UK - but whether or not you are asked to participate in the research remains to be seen
In the UK we pay by cheque - always a problem again outside the UK!!!!!
Please feel free to register your details
Regards Sue Morrison -----------
I'm not going to participate, but only because they are UK based and I probably won't qualify for any of their market studies. Sue
