Sorry, can't help you with what 4 oz would look like. But I do have a recipe you might want to try. My family loves my turkey meatloaf and it couldn't be easier. I mix 3 lbs of ground turkey with 2 eggs and a pkg of Stovetop stuffing. If you use a store brand stuffing mix make sure it's NOT the type with a separate seasoning packet. Just mix that all up, no additional seasoning is needed. Bake it like any other meatloaf. My family likes it with chicken gravy, made from a packet or from a jar, with cranberry sauce on the side and some veggies.

Hi blondebaby. I was taught to measure a portion of meat as the size and thickness of a deck of cards usually around 3 oz. hope that helps.

It does NOT include the fingers. It is like your fist.

An easy way to tell what a 4 oz portion will be, albeit it is estimated, and I recommend getting a scale for accuracy, is 1 lb of ground turkey is 16 oz, so roughly 1/4 the package will be 4 oz.

When I make turkey burgers I just cut the meat into even 4 portions then use a patty maker to shape it. Turkey meat can be kinda bland alone, so I season it with cilantro and pepper.

Hi there. I found a great recipe for turkey burgers(but I can't find it right now!) :D It's morroccan turkey burgers. There's alot of flavour with corriander, cumin, curry, and turmeric. It's a Rachael Ray recipe. I don't know where I put it at the moment but it's in one of her recipe books. Really tasty!

Hi, I can tell you after cooking with groung turkey frequently, it is a healthy and very affordable alternative to ground beef. I usually season my turkey burgers with garlic powder, onion powder, dry parsley flakes, pepper, 1tsp. of splenda, ceyenne pepper, paprika and chili powder. We like our burgers flavorful and [b]spicy. That may be a bit much for some though. I use anything but alot of salt. Mrs. Dash works well too. The beauty of turkey burgers is you can do almost anything with them, including top them with yummy things; ie: cheese, coleslaw, chili, sauteed peppers and onions, ect...... I love my turkey burgers sometimes more than the beef because they are bland and take on the flavor you add to them. Happy cooking! :)

I am 99.9% sure that the serving listed a a 3 oz portion, or the size of a ladies's hand in NOT inclusive of the fingers OR the thumb! It's usually the "size of and the thickness of the PALM of your hand". Click onto OPRAH.com and search for Donald Trump's turkey burger. It's wonderful. You might have to find a substitute for the Major Grey's chutney.

Here is my turkey burger recipe--it is fabulicious!
1 pound of turkey meat (I buy mine at Wal-Mart-it comes in 1 lb. portions and I buy the leanest meat)
1/2 cup pureed onions (I just chop my onions very fine)
1/2 cup pureed celery (I just chop my celery very fine)
1 teaspoon horseradish
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon parsley
Mix turkey meat, vegetables, horseradish, soy sauce and seasonings in a bowl. Form into patties. Grill the patties on a grill until each side is brown. (I cook my patties on my George Foreman Grill) Top with desired condiments. Serves 5. (It's easier for us-my husband and I-to just make 4 patties total. It's a little more calories and what are you going to do with 1 leftover turkey patty?
Calories 115/Fat 1 gram/Cholesterol 82 mg/Protein 24 gm/Carb 2.5 gm/Fat%=7% (this is for 4 patties, so you'll have to adjust for more calories, etc if you make 5 patties instead. These turkey patties are VERY flavorful! Enjoy! :D
