My name is Carlos. I have not posted anything here since I was first diagnosed with type 2 six months ago. I received good information then and am hoping for the same again. I'm having problems with nerve pain. As my glucose numbers came down pain showed itself; then went from bad to excruciating. For the past 2.5 months I've been taking Effexor for pain, 5mg of Glipizide for glucose. It stopped the pain for the most part, but left me with symptoms of depression (listlessness, no passion), content to lay around and watch TV all day. That has lessoned a lot, but the pain has come back to my hands, feet, and legs. For the last week the pain has gotten stronger. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, Carlos

Hi Carlos many use alpha lopic acid and also B-12 for neuropathy pain. Its fairly cheap and sure worth the try.

Hey Carlos,

I have two friends with DPN, Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy. They had severe pain in their feet and legs. Both tried a unique insole from a website called http://www.MagFeet.com and it did wonders for the pain, numbness, burning, tingling, etc. One said before using the insole it was difficult to sleep at night his feet bothered him so much.

Anyway, I just confirmed thats the website. It has news videos talking about a doctor's medical study results, and other easy to read info about how this is helping people who had tried everything, including meds, for their diabetic foot pain. Some on the site indicate an improvement in their balance.

Hope this is helpful! Post back and let me know.

FYI - the correct spelling of this supplement is alpha lipoic acid. I don't want you to have any difficulty finding it. It has helped many people with neuropathy pain.
