Thanks! I am T2 and no it was not a surprise. Had it on both sides of the family. It was the way that I finally got diagnosed.....in the hospital 3 times within a month with pancreatitis. Found a benign mass on my pancreas and I have been on steroids and pancreatic enzymes to help with that. Steroids had elevated my BS numbers but they are coming down as I taper off of the steroids. I have a hard time not snacking of an evening. I am also on insulin....Humalog and Lantus. I really like this site although I wish there was more of a live chat room.
