The doorbell rang randomly today. My mom answered and received a package. Medtronic. I just received my supplies, so I wasn't sure what it could be.
So I didn’t even bother to read the info, I just tore into the box and checked my blood sugar (funny since usually I never want to check). Christmas came early! After updating the ID number, I was on my way. The pump vibrated on my hip and read the number. 180.
As I finished that, I read through the accompanying info quickly. I saw USB and CareLink. Two words I know well. USB for my techy generation to use as mass storage and quick uploading. CareLink for the uploading system my pump uses to keep graphs, etc of my information. Those two combined: perfection.
Today was definitely an early Christmas. The best diabetes day in a long time. I checked my blood sugar so many extra times just to use the new feature. The new has kind of worn off and will continue to disappear. But until then, I’m going to revel in my new technological advancements in diabetes life.

Yup, New Toys Are Fun.
I got mine too the other day and I told my husband it was the best day in a long time just because i got the new glucometer. The other brand's test strips were more money so I haven't had the wireless feature since last year so I was so excited the new glucometer came!!
Thanks I am calling Medtronic to see if this USB will work with my pump.
