Wow.  What an unbelievable adventure life is.  I don't even know where to begin today.  I guess one thing that I wanted to share is that I recently moved.  Last weekend I was in a bad way.  It's no secret - just look at my past entries - that I have struggled with bouts of hard times.

So Saturday, after a few longs nights and hours of heavy contemplation, I packed up my stuff and left.  I needed to get out of my home town - away from some feelings that I've been struggling to overcome.  I had made a call that day to a guy whose number and add I found on Craigslist.  The add said that their was a room for rent near the beach in Florida.  I was sold.  I arrived on Sunday night after a total of about 18 hours of driving.

That night, after unpacking and beginning to settle in, I rode my bike to the beach.  I had missed the sunset, but the life and energy of the beach and ocean never go away.  I walked out on to the soft-shell- filled shore and gazed at the magical sky.  The moon was clear and the stars were infinite.  I had made it.  I had made it to my current place.  My place of healing and source of life right now.  An instant smile and sigh of relief came to my face.

Good job, I said to myself.  You took your first step in beginning a new life and adventure for yourself.  Their would be more hard times to come, but also larger-than-life filled moments of peace and inner happiness.  I'll be writing a lot about them in the days to come.  Happy World Diabetes Day everyone.  Hang in their, live life to the fullest, seize the moment, and just do it.  Talk to you soon, Andy.

Good luck to you. Remember that keeping good control of your diabetes helps you to think clearly and be stable emotionally.
