I am a gamer. I love playing video games either on my PC or on our Nintendo Wii.

2 weeks ago I was able to get my hands on the last Wii Fit being sold at our local retailer. In case you are not familiar with what Wii Fit you should check out this video clip.

Wii Fit is a fitness game from Nintendo that works using the Wii controllers and the Wii Fit Balance Board. The Balance Board is a highly sensitive peripheral that can measure a user’s weight and center of gravity. The software that comes with it can calculate your BMI when told the user’s height.

The Game comes with about 40 different activities, Yoga poses, Push Ups, Step Aerobics, Skiing, Lunges, Jogging, and Boxing. All are fun and all get your heart pumping.

I especially love all the Yoga poses. I have unlocked all of them now and they vary from easy to more advanced poses. This is where diabetes keeps getting in my way.

There are 3 Yoga poses in particular that I can never do well because they require you to hold still while standing on one leg. Neuropathy makes it difficult to feel my feet let alone stand on one of them while holding my balance.

I rub and stomp my feet to get the blood moving. It does nothing. It feels like my feet are forever sleep and I cannot stand it.

No pun intended.
