I met with my bio-identical hormone specialist on Tuesday. They drew blood, so we'll see what physical differences can be seen from my treatment. I've had a lot of success with relief of symptoms (regular periods, acne clearing, less fatigue, more energy, better moods).

I am still on cortisol, progesterone, and several kinds of supplements (one to help me sleep, one to lower my cholesterol/triglycerides, one to raise my vitamin levels). I started out on the thyroid, but had some side effects and went off of it. The plan was to get my other hormone levels stabilized then retry the thyroid.

Since I've made such progress with everything, I'm now going to try the thyroid again. Hopefully, my hormones have had enough time to stabilize enough where I won't have the side effects from before (heart palpitations, jittery, etc).

We are also lowering my cortisol in half because we believe it's having an effect on my blood sugars (it's known to raise them). I'm hoping that is the right decision. If I see that there is a drastic difference in how I feel, I'll increase the cortisol to the previous dosage.

The progesterone has been increased since I first started, which I feel may or may not be the wrong decision. I'm into my third cycle this week, so we'll see what the final decision is after I assess my symptoms.

I'm very interested to see my blood results. I hope my vitamin levels are increased, my cholesterol is lower, and my other health results have only improved.

Overall, I'm just excited to see physical changes in my life from all of this. It's so nice to have some relief, even if it isn't all at the moment.
