I sure enjoyed writing my April Fool's post yesterday. I've always gotten a big kick out of the day but rarely can keep a straight face long enough to pull a prank.

I wanted to be clear that I probably would qualify for type 2.41 if there were such a thing. I was making fun of myself and the media. I sometimes get an attitude from people that I wouldn't have the disease if I'd just suck it up and lose some weight and exercise more. That might just be my own paranoia. But you know what they say - "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you!".

I enjoyed the usual round-up of internet pranks. I do think the Butterfinger one I cited yesterday was the FUNNIEST one I've seen in quite some time. Google going to Mars was so-so, but Google pre-dating emails was funny and may have actually fooled a few novices. There were some on Google, ESPN and Facebook that I didn't even read about until today!

It's interesting how business is taking on April Fools. I think it's a sign of the stress we are under these days. We all know laughter is the best medicine. Norman Cousins called laughter "internal jogging" with the attendant benefits of actual jogging. Many studies have show that laughing releases endorphins and lowers stress. I wonder if it lowers blood sugars too?

Maybe laughter is my ticket out of type 2.41! It sure would beat diet, exercise and tapping my face!
