Olivia's new pump arrived today, right when they said it was going to arrive. I took it out of it's box and admired it for a moment. It's pretty. It's purple and it has NO scratches on it and the buttons have all their writing on them still.

I got to work programming in her basals and her carb ratios and all that jazz. Thankfully, I had it all on a handy dandy spreadsheet - the same one I'm constantly moaning about not filling out, but I digress. Just as I was finishing up programming the pump, I got a call from the school. Olivia was sick. Again.

For the last couple of weeks, she's been complaining, off and on, of stomach aches. She used to get them a lot, when she was smaller, but the last 4 or 5 years, it's been only once or twice a year that she's had them. Today, on my way to get her, I realized that it was the third time in 2 weeks that I'd picked her up early. One of those times resulted in her missing the next day, too. When we got home, after I'd hooked her up to her new pump, I called the doctor.

I don't think this is diabetes-related, although you never know. She did have a celiac test when she was about 8 or so that came back inconclusive. I'll mention it to the doctor tomorrow. We aren't seeing her regular pediatrician, so I'm not sure how much I should get into, if I should just wait or what. I'll probably mention at her next endo appointment, too, to see what they have to say about it.

I don't really know what can cause periods of nausea combined with stomach pain. She says it feels like the area around her ribs hurts. Not her ribs themselves, but stuff inside/around that area. I am not going to Dr. Google because every time I do that, I freak myself right out. I'll wait until tomorrow (maybe...I'm weak) and see what the doctor has to say.

Hopefully it's nothing. Or, if it is something, hopefully it's a minor something. Fingers crossed. She has enough crap to deal with, she doesn't need anything else.
