Perhaps I'm pushing the envelope a little too much here, but personally, I don't think so! Were all adults here,..RIGHT!? Although sex may not be one of our biggest concerns as diabetics, it certainly is just one more thing we have to think about.

I was searching around in my head for different things to write about today and then all of the sudden this video
popped into my head. I also got the inspiration for this post after I injected 15 units of fast acting insulin and, well, let's just say the mood hit.

I bet that if you're reading this you have had at least one experience with hypoglycemia while "in the moment". Am I wrong? Of course not, it's a part of life and being diabetic that's not very fun. (caution kids, it gets more awkward)

Let's set-up a scenario here,..So you and your significant other are out for a lovely (high-carb) dinner. And after dinner you decide to treat yourselves to some delicious dessert and you pick up some (high-carb) ice-cream. When you get home you pop the cork on a fine bottle of (high-carb, absorbtion-slowing) wine. You then take a shot or dial up some quick acting insulin on your pump. One thing leads to another (after hours upon hours of foreplay of course) (remember this is for imagination purposes) and then finally "the act" begins to play out. WELL, then the undisputable symptoms of a diabetic low JUST SO HAPPEN to show up while you're in the middle of the process,.

Quick! Hurry! Go get some sugar! ,.

And I'll let your imaginations and personal experiences finish the story,.

Thanks for playing along. -Andy

PS> This is just another example of how diabetes and spontaneity don't go together very well. WE MUST PLAN FOR EVERYTHING! :)
