The cgm can help you with Diabetes by telling you what your blood sugar is!But the bad thing about it is that its not always accurate. It could be 20,50 or 100 away! But sometimes its very close. And a cupple times it was right on!!!If you look at your pump, you will see a graph, the number, and arows.I will tell you about the arows and the number and I’ll tell you about the graph later. So you know about a blood sugar,I think. So the arows tell you what direction you are heading. One arow up means you are going up a little. Two arows up means you are going up alot! One arow DOWN means you are going down a little. Two arows down means you are going down a lot! Finally, the graph. The graph shows where you were heading in the past 24 or 3 hours. When my mom & dad put it on me,they put numing cream on me so it doesn’t hurt.If you did not have the numing cream on,OUCH!!!!!!Because the way you put it in is a pricker kind of thing and pricks very fast!So the things I like about the cgm are seeing what my BG is and seeing what direction I’m heading. But I think it’s a lot of work for my mom&dad to put the cgm on me.They have to put the cream on me and wait 15 min.,Then they prick the cgm in and wait 15 min.,Now they put a trancemitter on me and they wait for a flashing green light,Finally they wait for 2 hours and...The cgm is ready!!!!!!Sometimes my mom&dad forget where they put the cream so they prick where they THINK they put the cream and they prick...

owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!I screamed! They pricked the wrong spot!!!I think it can last for six days. Then you need to change the cgm. When I have the senser on me,I don’t need to test myself that much.BUT I still need to test myself because the senser can be off!!!I could be 65 when the senser could say 116!If someone was wondering if they should try the cgm,I would say...TRY IT!!!!

Thank you, Charlie! If I ever have a CGM I'll remember what you wrote.

thanks Charlie! My thoughts exactly on the cgm. I wondered if you would mention that the cgm needle is about 10 inches long and the inserter is like a rifle going off. It makes my husband turn white as a ghost to see me insert the thing. Where do you like to wear yours best??
Mousie, your dad's online friend....type 1 like you but I'm old....like your dad, but older than him.... lol

Hey Charlie....will your pump fuss at you if the transmitter is in your butt and your pump is in your front pocket? My pump and transmitter fuss if they aren't pretty close together, like if it falls out of my pocket at night and I lay on it!
Mousie, sleepy because that is what happened last night.... :-(

Hey, Charlie! Nice to see you writing here for yourself :) It sounds like the CGM is a lot of work and doesn't always give you the right answer (like on a test when you don't understand the question), but it tries hard and tries to explain how it came to that answer.

Sometimes as grownups we find that how we arrive at an answer is more important than what that answer is -- kind of like the graphs on the CGM.

Thank you Kinget!!!!
Thank you Mousie! I like to wear it best on my BUTT!!!
THANK you Tmana!!!I geuse it is important to see the trend.

That is one of the best things I've ever read! Thanks, Charlie, for sharing! I read this to Leah and she agrees with you about most everything. :)

Thanks Charlie, my little boy is thinking about getting a CGM and I will make him read this so he knows how you feel about it. :)
