I want to take this oppurtunity that I have been given by dLife and make the very most of it that I possibly can. I want to take the time tonight to be as up front with you that I know how to be. I want people to actually get to know me. Hopefully, by being myself, people out there can relate to my writing's and maybe even enjoy reading about some of what I have to say. So let me start by saying that I am very nervous about writing for this blog. It is a miracle that I got through last night's entry entitled, "Double-header Disaster". I was up for over three hours last night with my girlfriend. She is an amazing person and I couldn't do this without her help and support. She works as a news anchor and reporter so she definately knows how to put good stories together! :)
You will no doubt be hearing more about her in future blog entries to come.
So anyway, to continue telling you a little bit more about me, then I have to tell you that I have never considered myself to be a very good writer...in fact, when I was in elementary school I was diagnosed with a learning disability in Language Arts. So now, here I am finding it very ironic that it is now my part-time job to be a writer for this blog!
I think that's pretty darn funny if you ask me!
All that being said though, I want everyone to understand that I am going to take this task of writing for Blogabetes very seriously and I am extremely appreciative of dLife for giving me this opportunity.
But enough of the sappy stuff
It is getting late now and I am heading off to bed. Tommorow morning I have to go to the hospital to get some blood work done before I meet with my Endrocrinolist next week. I have high hopes of a good Hemoglobin A1c. For as long as I can remember though I have always hovered around 7%. Which, I could go on and on about how MAD I get when hear that it hasn't changed any. My doctor and I will no doubt have the "Your a great candidate for the pump" talk. My decision to give the pump a try will rely heavily on what the A1c test shows.
I'll let you know and feel free to tell me what your opinion is on using the pump and also why you use it over MDI's (multiple daily injections)
Thank you for reading my blog tonight. I look forward to getting feedback from each of you. I think communicating back and forth with one another makes all the difference in the world. It is a great way for us to get to know each other and share tips and advice on diabetes stuff and other personal stories....after all were all in this thing together. Email me at roscobell27@yahoo.com or please leave a comment below. Thanks again...I feel better after getting all of that out!
P.S. my girlfriend did not help me out on this one tonight...she's probably going to kill me after reading this entry!
