I made my four work-outs this week!  Yay me! I am pretty sore tonight, it might qualify for Tylenol before bed.  We've been back from vay-cay (vacation) for 1 week tonight.  Routines are settling back in, all the laundry's done, etc, etc.

 

I was sore yesterday too, but I keep reminding myself that this is good.  Plus the exercise seems to open my lungs better than any other bronchitis treatment.  My trainer has me moving to body-weight exercises, also known as resistance exercises.  I wasn't familiar with the term but I sure remember the exercises - squats, lunges, push-ups, crunches, etc.  They do seem to make you more evenly sore than the machines or free weights. They are nice too because they require nothing but your own body.  Can't very well give the excuse "I don't have time to go to my own body"! 

 

My sugars have been fabulous.  I'm making better food choices, and not being stuck in the car with snacks for hours at a time has helped a lot.  With the exercise, or whatever glucose mojo I've got going, I haven't wanted an afternoon nap for several days.  The afternoon nap is as accurate as any glucometer for me.  The duration, quality and depth of the siesta pinpoint my level even more.  When I wake up all cottony mouthed and feeling completely disoriented and in total disbelief of the time - I was HIGH.  My sugar was high, if I really have to specify to the dLife crowd.

 

It's not the same as waking up from an in-range nap - the quiet stretching and feeling of utter comfort I usually get.  Of course, if I'm not high, I generally don't give myself permission to take a nap.

 

I have a friend who will be using a pass to my work-out place next week.  Maybe the company will help solidify the exercise routine even more. Until then, my son's 5th birthday party is tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be quite active - without an elliptical.

It is a good feeling...When It all comes together, and you just feel good.

Congrats on 4 visits....

For me? it is a daily challenge. I am constantly coaxed by this really good book that Im reading to stay home and lounge on the couch and READ.
I still stay on my food track...but If I dont exercise, I dont lose weight..etc...etc....

Welcome to the viscious circle. Congrats, really...It IS a good feeling.
