I've got that nervy, kinda sick feeling.  A type of cold feet, but all in my mind.  Maybe it's butterflies I feel, but it's not really in my tummy.  I'm dreading the stop on the scale on the way back to the tiny little interview (maybe I should call it interrogation, that seems more accurate) room.

It's Endo-Nerves.  Tomorrow is my endocrinologist visit.  It's only been a couple months, but with my impending insurance (maybe I should call it un-surance) upheaval, I'm going in a few weeks early.

This may be the last time I go to this particular doctor (maybe I should call her Physcian's Assistant, that seems much more accurate).  Since I won't be commuting up to work following my lay-off, it's really silly to consider driving over an hour each way to see this highly rated and very popular specialist (and his minions, AKA PAs).

Especially since I have a not particularly special case of Type 2 diabetes.  This office was extremely helpful when I was trying to get a pregnancy to stick (my darling 1 year old is proof of how helpful). But now they're not even sure of the diagnosis - Type 2 or Impaired Glucose Tolerance or Pre-Diabetes. At any rate, it's pretty well managed with metformin.

If I change doctors I can look forward to a case of "New Endo Nerves".  Those are worse.  I live in fear of finding another doc who knows less about some aspects of my disease than I do, like my first ever endo.

At any rate, I know my weight is up a little.  And I know that my HbA1C results are not a judgment of my character, but I suspect they will be up a tad (but still under 6).  I have no excuse.  I can blame it on the weight, but who do I blame the weight on?  Any volunteers?  :-)
