Carey Potash

Carey is a full-time hater of diabetes. The benefits stink. His 5-year-old son, Charlie, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 22 months old. Carey's parenting humor has appeared in various websites and print magazines. He resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia with his wife and three children.

On Post: I Have That

Yeah, I thought it was hysterical. She was a very sweet lady and meant well. No hard feelings, grandma. She had type 2 and took a pill, she told me. Testing Charlie and giving him insulin seemed quite foreign to her.

Have not seen the MSNBC report but doesn't surprise me one bit. Will look into it online. Thanks.

Thanks a lot Sara. Thanks Kelly.

On Post: The Lies

Yes, I'm exaggerating. Charlie knows the truth all too well. It's not uncommon to hear the following in our house several times a week. "Because you have diabetes and your blood sugar is high. That's why you can't have it."

Thanks. May the snack be with you all.

Bernard: Thanks for passing that along. Very cool!

Very weird, Shannon. Very, very weird.

Since yesterday? 2 grand? Wow! Well done. Thank you for raising this money.

Hi ladybug. I know exactly what you're going through. It's very hard. Right now we only have play dates for Charlie at our house. You may find that if you have enough of these play dates at your home, the parents may eventually come around and see how they can have the kids play at their house once in a while. For a babysitter, have you tried www.safesittings.com? Maybe there's one in your area. Your granddaughter's endo may also know if some of their patients babysit. Hope this helps. Hang in there.

On Post: 100 Good

Thanks youz all.

On Post: Fair Warning

Nope. Yankees fan. I picked on the Cubs randomly. Friendship remains intact.

Constant: Thanks. Today was better. Only one mild low.

Mousie: Sounds like one well-deserved bowl of ice cream. There's looking at the bright side.

Sarah: Hi. Really is a mystery what is going on in that little body of his. Weekend was typical.
